Sodbury Town Council
Sodbury Town Council includes the parishes of Chipping Sodbury and Old Sodbury which are situated at the foot of the Cotswolds in South Gloucestershire.
Chipping Sodbury is a Medieval market town created by William Cassius, Lord Sodbury, in the year of 1227. The Town possibly has one of the widest main streets in England. Rounceval Street, High Street, Broad Street and Horse Street have delightful small shops, cafes, banks and pubs along with excellent local accomodation. See the Tourist Information Centre page for more information.
Old Sodbury was named in the Domesday Book as Sopeberie, while the 'Old' is to distinguish it from nearby Chipping Sodbury.
